Summer Vibes on a Scrapbook Layout

Hi!
Bright grass green isn't usually one of my favorite colors, but since the photo has such a sunny, summery feel, I went looking through my stash for a green patterned paper to use as the background for this layout. Fortunately, I found the perfect one! The shade of green in this 49 and Market paper (Spectrum Sherbet Solids – Lime) is absolutely beautiful. To add a little more interest, I enhanced the background with green stamping and a stencil. The Green Jeans ink color turned out to be a perfect match.

For embellishments, I added a few die-cut leaves and highlighted them with touches of white to add a little more depth and visual interest. My favorite tool for adding soft white accents is General's Charcoal White pencil—it creates easily such a beautiful, subtle effect.

The rest of the embellishments are, if I remember correctly, from 49 and Market's Nature Study – Ephemera Bits pack. Isn't that looking glass cute!

We're lucky to still be enjoying beautiful summer weather here in Finland, even at the beginning of August. I love that a scrapbook page can preserve not only a favorite photo, but also the colors and feeling of a perfect summer day. Looking at all that beautiful greenery, you can almost smell the freshly cut grass, can't you? 🌞

Thanks for stopping by!
