Scrapbooking layout: Own your dreams

Hi and happy to have you in my blog!

This 12" scrapbooking layout I started creating a long time ago. I guess I had layered the background papers and matched them to the selfie I wanted to use. But for some reason this page didn't get finished.

When going through my papers a short while back I came across this page and decided to complete it. To the center of the page I layered cool tags by 7 Dots Studio, and added beautiful floral embellishments from a Mintay Papers Flora Book, a booklet with elements for fuzzy cutting.

I was surprised to see how well the rich floral elements and simple background with graphical patterns work together. Very different look and feel but yet a nice match!

Thanks for stopping by in my blog. Wishing you a wonderful day!

Scrapbooking layout: Find your fire

Hi and happy Sunday!

Today I'm sharing with you a layout that is a combination of something new and something old: 'New' on this page is the gorgeous burgundy background paper and the fuzzy cut floral embellishments (both papers are my recent purchases from AB Studio). 'Old' are the American Crafts alpha stickers that must be one of the very first ones I have ever purchased 😀

The letters had lost their stickiness and had to be glued on the page, but otherwise they were still perfect.

The embellishments are fuzzy cut from a 12" background paper sheet. The completely white flowers and leaves I painted gently with brown Distress Ink; I thought they needed a hint of colour for matching to the brown roses on the paper.

This was a fun page to make. Hope you like it, too!

Thanks for stopping by in my blog. Have a nice day!

Scrapbooking layout: Happiness

Hi!

Today I wanted to show you a simple layout for which I was able to use the strangest diecuts I had in my stash. I remember taking out the dotted leaves (?) many times, but I always ended up putting them back. They were just too odd.

This strange layout called for strange embellishments. And I remembered my dotted leaves! I actually ended up using the entire pack; red dotted leaves you will see on my next layout!

The inspiring background paper is a Mima Molina design for AB Studio. Love those patterns!

Yes, the page is a bit odd, but I'm quite happy of how I combined the colours. I also love the playful feeling the page reflects. It makes me smile 😊

Thanks for stopping by!

Wishing you a wonderful day. Stay safe!

Scrapbooking layout: Focus on the good

Scrapbooking layout with AB Studio papers

Hi,

Hope you have been safe during these exceptional times. I have realized that working on my crafting projects has been more important to me than ever: Beautiful papers, yummy stamped patterns and wonderful clours truly lift my spirit and let me escape the dull everyday life.

Last weekend I took out my AB Studio papers and started playing. On this page I mixed elements of two patterned papers, and combined them with a fuzzy-cut photo. The fuzzy-cut grungy hearts I decorated with stamping, and added a hint of metallic shine on the page by heat embossing stamped splash patterns on the background.

(Paper collections: Background: "Carry Me Slowly".  Hearts:  "I ove you to the moon...")

This was a fun page to make. The creative 'flow' was strong, and this page wasn't the only output from those me-time moments 😊 I will share more pictures soon.

As the layout sentiment suggests; let's focus on the good. 💗

Wishing you a wonderful day. Thanks for stopping by!
