Purrfect birthday cards!

Hi!
I'm so excited to share the great news with you: I'm a guest designer for AALL & Create!
Starting today, I will post a new project for you every Saturday; hope you join the fun with me!

My first project is a set of two birthday cards. They share the same techniques, but a different colour palettes.
These climbing cats by Olga Heldwein are ADORABLE! So fun to colour and yet easy to fuzzy cut. Just the way I like!

The backgrounds I coloured with old Distress Stains. I had not used them for a while, but they worked perfectly.

Once the ink was dry I white washed the colour a bit with white gesso. Just a thin layer here and there was enough.
For the finishing touch I used Aida's versatile circle stamp, and an ink colour matching to the background Distress Stain.

I coloured the main images with my Promarkers. My standard choise for colouring pens :)

I can't decide which one I like best. I think that both of them turned out nicely!

Below are pictures of the AALL & Create stamp sets I used. More information can be read in AALL & Create eShop *here*.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend!

Art journal page using mirror stamping technique

Hi!
I'm happy to be on VivaLasVegaStamps! blog again, showing my latest art journal page. For this page I used fun mirror stamping technique to replicate my main 'Clown Face' image.

This page has several layers and an inked background. The mirrored image came out quite nicely, and before fuzzy cutting I just traced some of the lines with a very fine black marker.

For more information about this page and the stamps I used please read my post in VLVS! blog. Link is *here*

Wishing you a wonderful weekend!

I made a cute kitten card to for a dear friend:

Here's how I made the card:
I first traced a large letter C on a piece of white cardstock. The trace line would help me in aligning my flower patterns.

I created a couple of masks from a post-it note, and stamped leaves and flowers on the C shape using masking stamping technique.

Once the flower wreath was finished, I fuzzy cut it out.

Using a water brush and my craft mat as palette I colored the flowes with pink Memento ink.

I glued the flower wreath on a piece of patterned paper. Before gluing I added a hint of color on the paper using pink and purple Memento inks.

For highlighting my cute main kitten image I gently white washed the flowers with white gesso. The layer of paint is really thin, but it yet allows the main image to pop.

For coloring the kitten I used my Promarkers.

I think the sentiment text is a perfect match to my floral background and the cutest kitten. Hope you like it, too!

For this project I used the following supplies:
Imagine: Memento Dew Drop 'Rose Bud, Lulu Lavender, Angel Pink, Tuxedo Black.
VersaFine Onyx Black

Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps: 'Kitty Fun', 'Feet Flower Large & Small', 'Friends Like Flowers'

Wishing you a wonderful day! Please join us again tomorrow!

Colourful ATC's

Hi!

Sharing with you a set of ATC's I made a short while back. They were actually made for a live swap, but as I missed that event I kept them for an international ATC swap that was taking place right after.

I hope they have now all reached their new owners, so I'm sharing them in my blog now :)

When creating I took work-in-progress photos and wrote a picture tutorial; you can read it in Viva Las VegaStamps! blog *here*

Hope these colourful cards brighten your day. Thanks for stopping by!

Art Journal spread: Just because

Hi and Happy Friday!
Today it was my turn to write in Viva Las VegaStamps! blog, and with Banksy being very current at the moment I made an art journal spread using my Banksy stamps.

I'm sure we all have seen what happened at Sotherby's on Oct 5:

How cool was that!!

Wishing you a wonderful day!

What time?

Hi!
The latest Viva Las VegaStamps! collection contains a text stamp that always brings a smile to my face. That rebellious message was a perfect match to the cool elegant Lid Lady image.

I used the same design elements and put them on a smaller background, and created a matching ATC:

More details about the products I used and how I made the background can be read in the blog post I wrote for VLVS! (link to my post *here*)

Wishing you a nice Sunday! Thanks for stopping by!
