Layout and a card: Wonderful together

Hi and happy Sunday,
This is my third layout I made using papers from new 13 Arts collection 'Unforgettable'.

The wood panel pattern looks awesome. Using quite a dry brush and some white and pink acrylic paints I painted the upper part of the paper. Felt like I was painting a wooden wall! 😀
Once the paint was dry I added more texture by stamping random text patterns with black StazOn ink and gluing down strings of embroidery floss.

The black branch is a chipboard which I first colored black with an alcohol marker. Then I decorated the ends with heat embossing; adding embossing ink only to the small round areas was easiest with an embossing pen.

The butterflies are die-cut using a quite recent Tim Holtz/Sizzix Thinlits die ('Scribbly Butterflies'). I backed the die-cut butterflies with white vellum, and fussy cut around the edges. I like the lightness of these embellishments!

The tiny pink crosses are die-cut using a Tim Holtz die ('Mixed Media' set #6). Also the title 'Wonderful Together' is die-cut using Sizzix/Tim Holtz dies.

I'm really happy how this page turned out!

I used the last pieces of the 13 Arts 'Unforgettable' set to a card. I cut the paper into strips, wove them to a grid pattern, and added again some embroidery floss on top. Only a few dots of liquid glue were needed as the flowers on top would keep the floss in place.

Fun way to utilize the last scrap pieces of paper! 😀

Wishing you a wonderful day. Thanks for stopping by!
