I have to admit that purple isn't a color I usually use in my scrapbook layouts. For some reason, though, I came home from a craft event earlier this spring with all kinds of purple supplies, so I just had to challenge myself to create a layout in these shades. Besides, purple and orange complement each other beautifully, so I thought this patterned paper would be the perfect match for the photo of our ginger cat named Vili.
For the embellishments, I used flowers created with the Sizzix "Floral Layers 1" stamp and die set by Vicki Boutin. I absolutely fell in love with the style and shape of these flowers, and I'm sure I'll be reaching for this set many times.
The beautiful background paper is 'Radiant' from 49 and Market's Plume & Petal Collection. I carried the flowing design of the paper into the rest of the layout by adding a piece of purple cardstock behind the photo and a stamped lace pattern with similar soft, organic curves.
