Scrapbooking layout: Brave and bold

 

Hi!

This photo has been sitting in my stash for quite a while. It was taken in Singapore in the summer of 2017 when we visited an amazing interactive art exhibition. I guess it was simply waiting for the perfect background paper—one that would complement the unique mood of the photo.

I finally found the right one in Craft O'Clock's Nighttime Chill collection. The fussy-cut flowers are from the same collection, and if I remember correctly, the clock faces and butterfly are as well.

I really enjoyed building these embellishment clusters. They are a bit dimensional as some elements are lifted from the background with foam stickers. 

Even though the background doesn't include the same bold electric blue found in the photo, I think the different shades of peach and grey work beautifully with its colors. I also loved the flowing pattern on the background paper—it felt like the perfect match for the atmosphere of the photo.

I'm really happy with how this layout turned out, and it makes a wonderful keepsake of a very special holiday memory.
