Art journaling: Be happy

Hi and Happy Wednesday!

My art journal book, aka my creative playground, has been in frequent use lately. It's the perfect place for storing quotes that are meaningful for me, and at the same time for playing with colors and trying out new techniques.
Not all my scrabbles are made for public viewing, but myt latest page I wanted to share with you:

For colouring the background I used few bright Distress paints that I mixed with a brayer. Once the paint was dry I created a butterfly pattern by stamping the same image repeatedly with brown StazOn ink. Light and water based Distress paints are so easy to work with, as the paper doesn't usually need to be prepared with gesso before starting!

For writing the quote text I used the new Visible Image letter stamps. When cutting the stripes I noticed that despite of the pencil line I draw with my ruler the letters were not perfectly aligned. Well, then I just continued gluing down the strips and thought I would not give a damn :D

For more information on the lovely Visible Image stamps I used, please click on the pictures below:

Wishing you a wonderful week. Just be happy!

    1. Noora, tää sivu syntyi juuri siitä tunteesta, josta kirjoitit. Sivu on myös muistutus itselle - ei aina ole helppoa vähät välittää, mutta silti kannattaa yrittää :)
