Guest designing for CSI: Life!

Hi!
Today is a special day, as I'm having the pleasure to showcase my latest layout as guest designer for CSI: Color, Stories, Inspiration!

We had a wonderful case to solve, containing so many inspirational elements:

And here's how I solved it:

From the evidence list I chose 'stitching', 'labels' and 'enamel dots'.
The title text is a quote I read on the Carry On Tuesday blog. There are lots of wonderful quotes, and I saved a few to be used on my future projects. I suggest you have a look, too.
The title is written with a 'Danube Blue' irRESETible Pico Embellisher. I first wrote the text with a pencil, and then wrote over with the blue medium. Love how it turned out!

The chipboard title letters had a non-matching green colors, so I changed it to a softer green tone. First I covered the letters with white gesso, and then misted with two green Fireworks! mists (Pear Tart and Bamboo Leaves). I wanted the colour to be really light, so I added some water, and mixed the colors with a brush. For the darker bottom part I brushed a hint of green irRESESTible Texture spray (colour Bamboo Leaves), and once dry, stamped some pattern with Olive Green StazOn ink.

The pattern for the stitched heart is actually a thin metal die by Waffle Flower. I die-cut the pattern on a piece of paper, placed it over my project, punched the holes with a needle, and sew the cross stiches using three strings of red embroidery yarn.

Before placing the photo and the tags/labels on the layout I decorated the background with stamping. I chose red and blue Memento inks to match the colour scheme of the case file.
The wonderful background paper is a Cocoa Daisy exclusive paper by Little Butterfly Wings, Let’s Fly Away.

There are so many ways you can solve the CSI case; hope you get inspired to play along!

Wishing you a wonderful day!
Hugs,
