Mixed Media Card Challenge February: What You Love

Hello!
Time for Mixed Media Card Challenge reveal!
With Valentine's day just around the corner the February MMCC cards are all about Love:

Here's my take:

The background is made layering strips of book pages, gesso, texture paste  and stamped textures. I highlighted the center with white acrylic paint, and darkened the edges with red paint. The buttons and heart shaped flowers are glued down with gel medium.

The flowers are made from paper yarn:

A simple but fun project to make!
I hope you get inspired and play along with our challenge. What if this year the Valentine's cards are made using various mixed media elements....? :D

Have a nice Sunday!
Love,

    1. Thank you Julia <3
Even though I love buttons I sometimes find them difficult to use. I'm pretty happy that they found their places on this card, LOL!

    1. Thank so much for your kind words. Previously I've used paper yarn to create leaves for flowers, and I wanted to try to use it for something new.
