Hi!
The starting point for this scrapbook layout was a gorgeous patterned paper from 49 and Market. The beautiful paper didn’t really need much additional embellishing, so I simply added a little texture with rub-ons, stamping and black paint splatters.
The photo is a school portrait from a few years ago, and its limited colour palette and beautiful calm mood nicely balanced the busy background.
The butterfly tags are MimaMolina designs by AB Studio. It’s fun to mix and match elements from collections by different manufacturers. Even if the styles may be quite different, you can often find similarities in the patterns or colour palettes that bring everything together.
Even though there’s nothing particularly special about this scrapbook layout, I really like how it turned out. I also enjoyed the creative process – building up the layers and finding ways to bring all the different elements together was so much fun!
