International Scrapbooking day 2023

Hi!
On the first weekend of May scrapbookers around the world celebrated their favourite hobby by taking out their crafting supplies and creating wonderful layout pages. Social media and paper crafting blogs were filled with inspiration material and fun challenges; I felt like being in a candy shoppe!

On Saturday I managed to create two layouts; for both of them I utilized leftover embellishments from other projects and combined them with papers I had purchased a loooong time ago. Even if I love buying nice new things it always feels great to use materials that have been sitting on my stash for a while. With that I'm also telling myself that I'm mainly creating space for new supplies, lol!

The cute owl I've made years ago when I fell in love with the owl die set by Sizzix. I have them in at least ten different colour combinations!

The photo background was not that interesting, so I cut it off and replaced it with a watercolour panel. Now it matches the colour palette of the page better. Have to admit that I'm quite happy with my page using only a limited set of colours.

The second layout has die-cut and punched circles in the background and lots of fuzzy cut flowers from Pink Fresh Studio paper 'Happy Blooms'.

The quotes are from Dina Wakley 'Typed Ledgers' sheets by Ranger. The page title I picked up from one of the quotes.

Again a page on which I mixed elements from several manufacturers and designers. It's fun to make them work together!

Hey, you! Did you play along the International Scrapbooking Day challenges? Or did you just scrapbook for the fun of scrapbooking? đź’–

Thanks for stopping by in my blog!

Hugs,
