Stamped tag for June Craft Stamper blog challenge

Hi!
During this spring working life was very hectic, involving lots of travelling and time away from my family. Due to the very limited private online time my blog has been missing several posts I planned to write but never had the time to finish and publish. Now that the busy working life schedule has finally changed I'm starting to catch up, and in the next couple of weeks I will be sharing some of the projects I made during past year. Some of these projects you may have already seen on the companies / blogs I cooperate with i.e. Viva Las VegaStamps!, Imagine, Craft Stamper, or Sizzix.
Yet I'm hoping to still get a chance to inspire you with my projects! :)

Here's a fun tag I created for June Craft Stamper Magazine blog challenge. In this challenge 'Anything Goes', so following the same thought I took out my new Katzelkraft 'Dogs' stamps, and started playing. I coloured a size #8 manila tag with Distress Oxides, and decorated it further with some pattern stamping. I stamped the main images on heavy white office paper, coloured with Promarkers, cut out, and glued on the tag. Simple and fun project to make!

The little crosses on the bottom of the stamp are doodled leftover pieces when I die-cut with Sizzix / Tim Holtz Mixed Media #6 die set. These little pieces were jut perfect for my need: I feel that my images always have to have some type of a ground that they stand or sit on. Without this connection to the ground I think they are flying in the air :)

Isn't this dog stamp super cute! I colored a few more Katzelkraft dog images on the same go; I'm sure they'll pop up in my future projects quite soon!

The talented Craft Stamper blog challenge DT created many fabulous projects for the June challenge inspiration. Links to the June DT projects are *here* and *here*

Wishing you a wonderful day!

Art journal page for Craft Stamper July Blog Challenge!

Hi!
It's Friday the 13th, woohoo!
For us crafters it's a lucky day, as Craft Stamper Magazine blog challenge revealed today a lot of new stamping and paper crafting inspiration for our July challenge. Hope you have time to play with us; this month's prize is a great Faith Journaling bundle:
More information about the challenge and great design team projects can be read *here*.
Additional DT inspiration projects are available *here*

Inspired by the cute girly image by Ia Rafistolerie/Carabelle Studio I made this art journal page:

The die-cut oval background is colored with a red Ecoline liquid watercolour. Once the paper was dry I stencilled some patterns on top of the watercolour:

For colouring the art journal page background I used white and black acrylic paint. I applied the paint first with a brayer, and then softened the finish with a paint dabber.
After gluing the oval on the page I doodled a frame around the edge. A hint of white was needed, too, so I added a tiny white dot inside each doodled circle.

I coloured two stamped images on one go, so the other one I used for a cute bookmark:

Wishing you a wonderful, lucky day!
Thanks for stopping by in my blog .
