Colourful flower cards

Hi!

During Christmas holiday I managed to do quite a lot of paper crafting. I did not start any bigger new projects, but maily finished some work-in-progress art journal pages and made a pile of ATC's and cards using items from my 'leftover box'. In that box I store stamped or die-cut embellishments that are leftovers from some previous projects or items that I have stamped, coloured and fuzzy cut just for fun.

Birthday cards you can never have too many in your stash. For these floral cards I used stamped and painted magnolias that had been stored in the box for some years already. Happy that I now found use for them!

For the first card I used patterned paper for the background (an ancient paper by SEI 😀). The second colour burst card has a self-made inked and watercolour painted background.

The leaves are not stamped with the same Altenew set, but were just some other leftover finds in my box. For the 'Happy Birthday' wishes I used a new die by Altenew (from 'Essential Sentiment Strips').

The flower centers are decorated with yellow seed beads. Liquid crafting glue usually dries clear so even if I put a quite rich amount of glue on the beads the glue isn't visible anymore. That's an easy way to add a bit of dimension on stamped flowers.

I like these cards and hope that one day they will make their receivers happy, too 😊

Have a wonderful day, hugs,
