Easter bunnies!

Hi!
Last weekend my kids were already getting in the Easter mood. They started decorating the house for Easter, and we all were looking forward to the long Easter weekend. Their happy Easter enthusiasm was contageous, and I took out my new Sizzix Easter bunny die (Meadow Rabbit) and started playing with it.

First I created two Easter egg shaped card fronts:

After creating these cards I realized that the wonderufl Easter bunny die could be used for other projets, too!

I used the same die-cutting & collague technique for making two ATC cards:

Then I made a new page in my art journal:

The basic technique was always the same: First I created the base for the collage card by die-cutting the image from green cardstock. Then I re-cut the image again from pink, purple, brown and yellow cardstocks, cut the pieces out with scissors (rabbit and flowers), and glued them on top of the green die-cut background.
For the finishing touches I used a white gel pen.

It was fun to see how easily an Easter die could be used for different types of spring themed projects. Versatile products are so fun to work with!

Hope you like my projects; I would be happy to read your comments :)

Wishing you a wonderful day!
Hugs,

Today was my turn to showcase my latest VivalasvegaStamps! project in the VLVS! blog. It's a double-page project in my art journal book:

Aren't those Brian Kesinger images just adorable! Just perfect for art journaling; creating interesting sceneries with them is so much fun!

Panda bears on art journal page

Hi!
My last couple of months have been filled with lots and lots of business travelling, and my blog has been suffering from the lack of on-line time. Now it's time to catch up and share with you some of my latest creations. Thank you for visiting my blog, I'm so happy you're here!

Here's an art journal page I made a while back. The mixed media background is made By brayering acrylic paints on the Moleskine book pages, stencilling white acrylic paint over it, and gluing paper strips on top. The paper strips were actually cut from a paper bag; I thought the bright green colours were a perfect match for the paint colours used for the page. :)

I stamped and fuzzy cut quite a pile of panda bears, and some of them ended up on matching ATC cards:

These cute images bring a smile on my face. Hope they enlighten your day, too!

Fairy Girls on Art Journal Page

Hi!
Today I wanted to show you an art journal page I made a short while back. For this I used a lovely VLVS! stamp 'Girl With Wings'. I'm not a huge fan of symmetry, but in this case I think the image just had to be mirrored :) And I think I managed to avoid the boredom of too predictable symmetry; I really like how this page turned out!

Mirroring a stamped image is not hard at all. Please read my post at VLVS! blog for a full technique description and pictures (link *here*)

Wishing you a wonderful day. Thanks for stopping by in my blog!

Birthday cards using layered stamping technique

Hi!
March is here, and so is a new Craft Stamper Blog Challenge! As usual, 'Anything Goes', as long as you've used stamping somewhere on your project.
Our amazing sponsor this month is Donna Gray, designing for That's Crafty. One ramdomly chosen lucky winner will get two beautiful stamp sets by Donna Gray:

Our Design Team will also vote for their favourite project. The Design Winner of the challenge will have their project featured in Craft Stamper magazine, along with a profile and a GDT slot on the Craft Stamper blog. How cool is that!
Read the challenge guidelines here, and link your project to the challenge post. Good luck!

My March project is a birthday card I made using simple layered stamping technique:

Cardmaking Layered Stamping Stampin'Up Craft Stamper

Creating stamped layers is easy: You need to start from the image that you want to appear on top, and continue working backwards.
First I stamped the party hat on the card front and repeated the image on a post-it note. I cut out the post-it note hat, placed it on the stamped hat on the card front, and stamped the bird. Then covered the bird with a post-it note replica, and stamped the branches and flowers. Done!

For coloring I used my Promarkers, and for stamping Memento 'Tuxedo Black', my absolute favourite when coloring with alcohol markers.

I made two cards on the same go, using different colors for the frames:

Wishing you a wonderful weekend!
