Tänään esittelen viimeisen European Scrap Battle and Tournamentin kolmannelle kierrokselle tekemäni työn - mixed media -kanvastaulun.
Kuten muissakin töissä, tässäkään ei ole käytetty mustaa eikä valkoista. Hain työhöni hieman pop art -fiilistä - näissähän näkee todellista väri-ilottelua! Pohjan valkoisen kangaspinnan peitin vanhasta kirjasta revityillä paloilla, ja tämän kerroksen päälle maalattu gessopinta sai väriä muutamasta suihkemusteesta sekä akryylimaaleista. Tekstuuria loin maskina käytetyillä pitseillä, värjätyllä kakkupaperilla sekä gessoon painetuilla leimasinkuvioilla.
Sanojen sabluunat leikkasin Cameolla (fonttina Stencil Gothic Bold JL).
Kanvaksen koko on 30x30 cm. Pohja on korkea - reunan syvyys on melkein 4 cm.

Today I'm presenting You my last project for European Scrap Battle and Tournament, Round 3; A mixed media canvas.
For this canvas I wanted to create a 'Pop Art' feeling for those projects have a lot of colors. And also allow you to use non-traditional color combos :)
I started with covering the white canvas with pieces of old book pages, and continued with covering the whole canvas with white gesso. As white was not allowed to be shown on the final project I misted the base with a few shades of green. I created texture with lace (used them as masks when painting with gesso), colored large doily, and stamps (stamped images on wet gesso).
The stencils for the words I cut with my Cameo (using Stencil Gothic Bold JL font).
The size of the project is 30 cm x 30 cm x 4 cm (approx. 12"x12"x1.5").
